Which hotels can visitors stay while in China?

Foreigners are allowed to stay at hotels that are officially licensed to accommodate international guests in China. These establishments must be registered with the Public Security Bureau (PSB) and are required to report all foreign stays. While many mid-range and high-end hotels meet these requirements, not all budget or local accommodations are authorized to host foreigners especially in smaller towns or rural areas.

Chinese Gift Giving Culture

Avoid taboo items such as clocks, umbrellas, or sharp objects, as they carry negative connotations. Instead, choose items that symbolize prosperity and good fortune, like tea, fine wine, or specialty foods.
