President Mahama Visits China

President John Dramani Mahama led an official delegation to China from 12–15 October 2025, accompanied by the First Lady and senior government officials. In Beijing, he addressed the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women, held talks with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, and delivered a keynote speech at the Presidential Investment Forum attended by more than 600 business leaders, investors, and government officials. The delegation also visited Fuzhou in Fujian Province, touring key industrial enterprises, engaging with provincial leaders, and exploring partnership opportunities. Discussions focused on deepening cooperation in infrastructure, energy, mining, and agriculture, as well as advancing China’s zero-tariff policy for African countries, a strategic initiative to expand Ghana’s exports to China.
