China releases new standards on furniture

The Standardization Administration of China (SAC) is the central administration for setting national standards and the national body responsible for standardization activities in China.

The new standards include the following:

  1. Standards for Liquid Hydrogen Systems: On 30 January 2025, the SAC announced two significant standards aimed at enhancing safety and performance in liquid hydrogen infrastructures.

  2. Revised National Standards on Furniture: On 10 January 2025, the SAC released three updated national standards, including:

  • GB/T 3324-2024: General technical requirements for wooden furniture

  • GB/T 3325-2024: General technical requirements for metal furniture

  • GB/T 3326-2024: General technical requirements for upholstered furniture
